Back to class

Now that Shabbat is over... it is time to return to Anthropology class. We are still stuck in time. It turns out that Dorothy not only was transported out of Kansas by the Cyclone, but also out of the land where "Time is Money." In the U.S., time is not just something we exist in, it is the equivalent to money - we spend it, save it or waste it. (In another tale, Cinderella became a rag clad, coachless and barefoot pauper because she wasted too much time dancing with a Prince.) But in the land of Oz, time stands still. There is always time for a leisurely stroll down a yellow brick road to a beach where the sun is slowly setting.

well --- I was going to write that I registered for class: Israeli Art in the 20th Century. We officially begin a week from tomorrow.

Cinderella, Dorothy... what is a girl to do!

Isn't today Columbus Day? A school holiday? Maybe in the kingdom of Cinderella -- Here in Oz we went back to work/school yesterday... after the big holiday break.

Israeli Art in the 20th Century... hmmm... that should be interesting. Let me know if there is any. Yes, as it turns out, it is Columbus Day! But I am working (or supposed to be working but actually procrastinating.)
And, despite very chilly temps, BBQing later w/Elli & Dan.
