I just added the link to the Roger Cohen op ed piece about Israel -- In case you missed it -- take a look -- It captures a bit of what lies just under the surface of life here.
Good insight. I am now studying Spatial Issues and one is how we divide ourselves up by belief systems, race, sex and even age. The book also mentions how the countries of the Middle East were mapped by foreign nations -- lines drawn in the sand by the British, French, US, etc. that have very little to do with the people who live within those lines. An aggravating factor.
Flight back to NYC completely uneventful. Just my opinion here -- the US can learn a lot from Israeli security.
My Big Adventure
On the Balcony
I am finally having my semester abroad! Three months in Israel with side trips to Jordan, Petra, Egypt and wherever else the sand blows me. Along the way I will be blogging and posting pictures here of my adventures big and small!
