This weekend is the 14 anniversary of the killing of Itzak Rabin. Rabin Square, in the center of the city, is getting prepared for a big event. The lights are all hung, there are candles placed around the perimeter of the memorial and many Israeli flags are displayed around the square.On campus, there was a service today -- I didn't get to school in time to participate, but I did manage to take a photo of the stage.
I also took this shot of a memorial stone plaque, pictured here. A sad fact, unique to this city and country, are the many, memorials to those killed in war or by terrorism. You never really can escape the reality of this country's history.
