Off to Oz

In the field of Cultural Anthropology, the first challenge comes when you are plucked from your home planet and dropped into someone else's. When everything you know disappears in the clouds, you are left with a vertigo-like sensation called "disorientation." This is similar to what Dorothy felt after taking off in her dusty Kansas home, spinning through space and crashing down (on a witch) in a foreign land. Disorientation. All your roadsigns are gone... where to find a latte now? The next step is to find some guides to orient you - a Tin Man? a Scarecrow? a Lion and a Good Witch? You will meet friends along the way to help you figure out this strange new land. But there are also Initiations and Trials to go through. Dorothy's were provided by the Wicked Witch and a bunch of monkeys. (Hopefully yours will be less dramatic...) Now with disorientation, orientation, initiation out of the way, there is only one step left. You must meet the Wizard and become accepted into your new culture. Oh! and don't forget your ruby slippers (or flats) so you can find your way back home.
